Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
These are the terms for using grubwire apps and this website. They're written in plain language because that's how terms should work.
The website
grubwire.io is informational. You can read it, share it, link to it. Don't scrape it for commercial purposes or try to break things.
Our apps
Crosswire is free and open source under the GPL-3.0 license. You can use it, fork it, contribute to it. The full license is on GitHub. The short version: you can do a lot with it, but if you redistribute a modified version, you have to keep it open source too.
No warranty
These apps are provided as-is. I built them to work well and I care about quality, but I can't guarantee they'll work perfectly in every situation. Use them at your own risk. I'm not liable for data loss, downtime, or anything else that goes sideways.
That said -- if something breaks, let me know and I'll try to fix it.
Third-party software
Crosswire uses Wine builds from Gcenx and is a fork of Whisky. Those projects have their own licenses and terms. I'm not responsible for third-party software you run inside Wine bottles.
Changes
If I update these terms in a material way, I'll update the date at the top. Continuing to use the apps or site after that means you're fine with the changes.
